Opening Reception Friday, December 16 6-8pm
at 1054 31st Street NW Washington DC 20007

Composition Workshop+Exhibition
 Mondays, November 14 - December 12, 2016 in Bethesda

Agenda:     There are three major subjects at the Academy of Fine Arts: Drawing, Painting and Composition. The first two are very well known but the third one is always a bit elusive, and yet considered to be the most important one. We got a little taste of it during our last workshop: "Still Life/Composition". This time the goal is broader but the idea is the same. You have to come up with the subject, collect materials, create your own space in the painting. There  are endless topics that you can use: street scenes, cafes, family portrait, art studio, farmers market, metro car, yachting, biking, portrait of a musician, etc., etc. Why use the first snapshot? Try to create your own perfect little world.
This is probably the most challenging and the most creative workshop so far and we are very exited to work on it!
